Dr. Flora, admits that it felt very foreign to her when she first started working in hospice care. As a physician, she was always taught to focus on treating her patients, but now she was not supposed to try to cure them. Then, she started to realize that allowing her patients to die a natural death is actually the kindest thing she can do for them.
Patient services are provided without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex (an individual’s sex, gender identity, sex stereotyping, pregnancy, childbirth and related conditions) , sexual orientation, disability (mental or physical), communicable disease, or national origin.
